ways to wear orange

One of the most polarizing colors out there is orange. It is not very easy to wear and many people stay away from it. I don’t own a single orange item since it makes my skin tone look like pale pink but I am seeing more and more pops of (mostly neon) orange here and there (for example in the A/W collections of Céline and Gaultier) and I’m starting to like it. So here are some ways to wear orange..

The other day ASOS had a shoe sale and I couldn’t resist. I also ordered a bunch of other stuff just to try on, but these are the keepers: a white crop top, neon bralette and wonderful brogues with contrasting soles for 26€.

Just a reminder to not take everything so seriously.. That guy is spot-on! This is the sh*t fashion girls say..

details: candy nails

Since spring hasn’t fully kicked in yet, I am at least trying out the pastel color trend on my nails. I know it’s immature and everything but I’ve always felt the need to decorate things around me, so I guess that’s where my nail polish addiction comes from.

Light blue by Essences, neon by Depend, candy cotton pink by Alessandro and matte top coat by P2 – around 2€ each.

look.. it’s Behati

The lovely Behati Prinsloo shot by Nicolas Moore in vibrant colors and prints for Elle France. I’ve been in love with her ever since I first watched the legendary Corner video.

pull and bear

Nowadays shopping abroad is not really what it used to be. I used to shop almost exclusively when traveling, bringing home garments no one else would have. But unfortunately chains like Bershka and Gina Tricot have recently opened in Cologne, so I don’t have to go to the Iberian Peninsula or Scandinavia for those anymore. Then all the Inditex chains (Zara, Pull and Bear, Stradivarius, Bershka, Oysho etc.) opened their doors for the online customer.. Sure, the clothes are still the same but they just lose their appeal now that they’re available for anyone anywhere. At least I spent a lot less money on clothes while I was in Portugal this time!

Still, the portuguese high street is quite good (and cheap!), one of my go-to stores there is Pull and Bear. You can order from them online and I might just do that. Here are some of my favorite items:

Rainbows

Time for happy colors! I had a fantastic time in portugal and the colorful style there inspired this post. Sorry for bad blogging but it was great to have some time for myself and just enjoy being around family and friends and well, the sun for a change.

All colors in one and a little bit of I don’t care..

Black vs. White

A classic. But why choose when black and white look so good together? My favorite pieces in the sexiest non-colors for this summer..
