In case anyone hasn’t noticed yet: Zara is kicking ass these days. Showcasing my favorite non-colorful color combo of black and navy and a juxtaposition of sexy slip dresses with bulky coats (honestly can’t think of a better example of ‘opposites attract’), they are nailing it. Want. Now.
So on November 14th fashion lovers on a budget all over the world will be able to get their hands on something designed by the one and only Isabel Marant. The photos of the collection were leaked (how unfortunate.. or is it?) and show some very typical Marant pieces. Gorgeous of course, but I can’t help feeling like this is very expected.
“I thought this was a good opportunity to say, ‘That belongs to me’,” designer Isabel Marant said to British Vogue about the collaboration. Instead of having fast fashion chains knock off her designs, Marant decided to partner with H&M so she could ensure her standards of design and quality were followed. Awkward, since H&M has knocked off her designs plenty of times. Remember the jeans with the print along the side of the leg? Yeah, H&M knocked those off and now they are selling them again but with Isabel Marant’s approval.
I don’t think I will be getting in line and fight other girls for this collection on November 14th, however the coats and knit wear are so beautiful, I might find myself refreshing H&M.com over and over to snatch one of the coveted pieces of this collaboration.
Topshop has arrived to Amsterdam. On Monday I went to the opening at De Bijenkorf and of course I couldn’t resist buying something. Got this sporty long sleeve with airtex details from Topman actually (guys they have great stuff!). But I have my eye on a white teddy bear fur jacket as well as a powdery pink trench coat.
And the search for the ultimate pair of sunglasses continues. I am a sunglasses hoarder. Seriously, it’s become a problem. Whenever I see cute, cheap sunnies I can not resist which has resulted in a collection of now about 13 pairs, most of which I don’t actually wear, but I always think I might someday.. But I know it’s really bad for my eyes to always wear crappy made-in-china sunglasses, so I have decided to invest in a better, more high quality model. I have a huge crush on the Wildfox sunglasses. They’re original and quirky and big (I have quite a large visage, so..) but it’s so hard to choose #luxuryproblems – do I go for a round and transparent frame? Black cat-eye or mirrored lenses? They are all beautiful!

People who know me know that I’m mildly obsessed with Asos. Not that they have better clothes than other places, but there’s something so easy about clicking the purchase button. When the parcel arrives the memory of payment is long gone and I feel like I am receiving a present. And then I get to unpack. Here are some of the items on my watch list (I often just watch items for weeks waiting for the inevitable tick tock shop or sunday sale). I am about 85% sure that I will buy the vagabond chelsea boots.. just need that final push (aka more cash).
Got something new from Asos.. again. I know it’s like super boring of me to always buy stuff from the same place but how could I resist this top? It’s cropped, white and transparent! All the things I like. Plus I got 20% off.. It’s really not my fault.
Oh, and I’m sorry for the amateur pics, I hate uploading selfies but I don’t have any photographer around at the moment so this will have to do.
