Topshop has arrived to Amsterdam. On Monday I went to the opening at De Bijenkorf and of course I couldn’t resist buying something. Got this sporty long sleeve with airtex details from Topman actually (guys they have great stuff!). But I have my eye on a white teddy bear fur jacket as well as a powdery pink trench coat.

Shades of Cray

Love these crazy lipstick colors from MAC in this shoot for Hunger magazine. Hunger Fashion Editor Alexander Harley teamed up with make up artist Suzy Rycroft, senior artist at MAC, and made these seemingly unwearable colors, black, blue, purple and even green, really desirable. This model pulls off these odd shades with minimal eye make up and looks beautiful. Personally, I recently bought a purple lipstick just like the one in the picture and I am in love with it. But now, I am considering black..MAC black MAC blue MAC purpleMAC green

Beauties

Just some beautiful photographs that I have recently downloaded including some lovely vintage Moss and Anja Konstantinova’s hair. Keywords are fresh, delicate, girly, vulnerable, oh and of course cat.

Wildfox in the Sun

And the search for the ultimate pair of sunglasses continues. I am a sunglasses hoarder. Seriously, it’s become a problem. Whenever I see cute, cheap sunnies I can not resist which has resulted in a collection of now about 13 pairs, most of which I don’t actually wear, but I always think I might someday.. But I know it’s really bad for my eyes to always wear crappy made-in-china sunglasses, so I have decided to invest in a better, more high quality model. I have a huge crush on the Wildfox sunglasses. They’re original and quirky and big (I have quite a large visage, so..) but it’s so hard to choose #luxuryproblems – do I go for a round and transparent frame? Black cat-eye or mirrored lenses? They are all beautiful!

Bik Bok x Olsen Twins

Olsen Twins

“Ashley and I are very proud to cooperate with Bik Bok. We feel that the collection reflects our personal style, while at the same connecting to the Scandinavian girl,” – Mary-Kate Olsen

Personally, I think the Olsens have proven to be remarkable designers, so I was thrilled to hear about their collaboration with swedish high street brand Bik Bok. The collection doesn’t blow me away, but it features some solid basics and essentials such as a biker jacket. Certainly things I would wear plus everything is fairly priced as well. Too bad Bik Bok still only delivers to Scandinavia. Here is part of the lookbook:

NSMBL super sale

NSMBL

I am selling a bunch of my clothes at the NSMBL super sale at Bar Italia tomorrow alongside other bloggers and stylists. Come on over, I promise it’s worth it!

My pick

People who know me know that I’m mildly obsessed with Asos. Not that they have better clothes than other places, but there’s something so easy about clicking the purchase button. When the parcel arrives the memory of payment is long gone and I feel like I am receiving a present. And then I get to unpack. Here are some of the items on my watch list (I often just watch items for weeks waiting for the inevitable tick tock shop or sunday sale). I am about 85% sure that I will buy the vagabond chelsea boots.. just need that final push (aka more cash).ASOS favorites

Lacanau Océan

Long time no see! This was the longest hiatus in Røra Blog history, but I am determined to get back to more regular posting habits.

So without further ado, here are some pictures from my vacation to Lacanau Océan in the south of France. What a beautiful place that was. And being with the boyfriend always has the advantage that I will have nice pictures of myself (among of course many other advantages). Clothes-wise, these pictures feature a graphic bra from H&M, an old t-shirt that I cut up, my beloved leather jacket from I Don’t Like Mondays as well as a denim circle skirt from Asos.

Antwerp’s Young Talent

The fashion department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerpen has been supplying the world with creative fashion innovators for decades and so it is always nice to look at the graduate fashion show, which was judged by some of the biggest names in the industry including former graduate Dries van Noten (and the other 5 members of the Antwerp 6), fashion editor Suzy Menkes and Ann-Sofie Johansson, the chief designer at H&M. Online you should check out sketches and collages that the students made for their final collections, which are really inspirational. Here are some of my favorites:

Interning

Today was the first day of my fashion, branding and communications internship at Fashiolista. I work in a beautiful office right in the centre of Amsterdam and I get to communicate with users through e-mails and social media. I’ll be posting some stuff on their Instagram, so follow @fashiolista_com for some updates. Even though uni is quite stressful at the moment, I am so happy to have something else besides school. Oh, and we have the cutest office dog ever.FotoFoto
