Happy Images

I have mixed feelings when it comes to Instagram. There is nothing artistic about snapshots taken with your iPhone, especially when a filter is applied to make it look like you took it with a polaroid camera using a film that expired in 2005 or adding a little blur to poorly imitate bokeh. However, if it’s not taken too seriously it can just be a fun way to illustrate your life and have a glimpse into what the life of others may look like. And even though at least 95% of the pictures on Instagram are cheesy and frankly not good, there are some that have an aesthetic appeal about them and others that can put a smile on my face. not a matter of fashion

So, I know there is nothing fashionable about football but that is what I’m going to be busy with tonight.
Germany vs. Portugal is always tough. I live in Germany but I always want Portugal to win, which usually doesn’t happen. I’m in Antwerp today so if Portugal loses at least there are no Germans around to mock me.

from lilac to lagoon

I admire Ivania Carpio from Love Aesthetics a lot for her personal style and well, I just had to share her amazing new hair color (“Lagoon Blue”).
Since she usually sticks to a color scheme of white, black and grey when it comes to her clothes, she can be experimental and colorful with her hair.

What do you guys think about pastel colored hair? Would you dye your hair? Or better leave it to Charlotte and Ivania..

Today is may 17th, the Norwegian constitution day. On the picture you can see my last time celebrating this day in Norway back in 1995 at my aunt’s house in Oslo.

summer à la coachella

God I’m SO jealous! Check out the photos of the Coachella festival happening now in California. The line-up is insane. The Black Keys, Radiohead, Dre and Snoop just to name a few and many many more. Plus, there are just as many celebrities visiting the festival as there are on stage. Though it’s not only the amazing concerts but the whole festival/summer feeling that I would want to be a part of right now. I CAN’T WAIT FOR SUMMER!!

new travel show formula

I don’t usually watch TV, but when I do, I like to watch the travel channel. But somehow, the shows on the travel channel are really outdated and they seem to be aimed at retired people who want to get out of the house rather than giving real insider tips for young travel-hungry people like me. So I was thrilled to discover this truly hilarious travel show that is hosted by this guy called Dex who hates tourists. He and his very very handsome co-host Fab travel to Europe’s hot spots to give us a glimpse of local culture, parties, chicks and douchebags, while being utterly funny. I love them. Go check it out. mood board: spring

We’re finally getting some love from the weather! This and the fact that my inspirations folder has gotten a lot fuller resulted in the need to share. The mood board is made from pictures I found on different tumblrs and blogs (fcknsweet, Jurgen Teller Tumblr, Because I’m Addicted, Studded Hearts) and it is influenced by the 90s, pastel colors and a little bit of danger, sex and “I don’t give a shit” I guess.

Oh, and can I just say how much I love pastel colored hair? I know, we’re seeing a lot of it online but not so much on the streets.. if I was blonde I’d do it in a heartbeat, but I’m not. So everyone who’s thinking about it please dye your hair and make my day!

look.. Love Aesthetics

I would like to introduce you to a genius blogger called Ivania Carpio from Utrecht. I mentioned her in a post before, since she regularly comes up with brilliant ideas for DIYs. Her personal style feels very now, 90s inspired with a futuristic edge, yet it is totally unique and always consistent with her personal aesthetic. I am a little obsessed with her lavender hair.
